Branding Broker Group
Giles Insurance Brokers, one of the top independent insurance brokers in the UK, has engaged with Birmingham-based Switch to work on selected brands within its portfolio.
Located across the UK, including the major business centres of Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff and London, the Giles Group employs more than 1000 people and places in excess of £300 million premium annually.
Switch has worked on a complete brand overhaul and repositioning for one of the Giles businesses, and several more projects are now underway for other operations within the Group. The exercise involves all of Switch's service areas including brand development, design for print, digital marketing and exhibition design. The overall project is expected to last well into 2011, the first phase having already been launched in the autumn.
Richard Pope, founding partner at Switch comments, "We're still working in an extremely challenging environment and we've had to be careful about which opportunities to invest in. Too often over the past year or so, we've been presented with lazily compiled briefs and vague deliverables from clients testing the water or looking for beauty parades; we've had to question whether they are serious or not before investing time and valuable resource, at our risk. It was refreshing to receive the Giles brief. It was considered, thought through and precise. A short, but thorough tender process was conducted and we were delighted to receive a personal visit from Leeds to award us the projects...much nicer than a call or an email. These things say a lot about an organisation."
Joanne Russell, Group Marketing Manager for Giles said, "We were impressed with Switch from the start. We were confident of their relevant industry experience having spoken to their clients and checked their credentials before we made contact. When we met they spoke with authority and understanding and had an immediate grasp of our branding issues. We're really enjoying working with the team at Switch and we look forward to their contribution to help achieve our defined project goals.
