REHAU required a strong platform on which to promote their Product range, their commitment to Sustainability, their sales Support and their extensive range of Colour options.


We developed a strong message of reassurance for them, borne out of the breadth of their offering – No need to worry, with REHAU it’s all in hand.

To reflect REHAU’s position in the market as innovators, traditional communication techniques were used alongside more cutting-edge technologies like virtual reality and digital advertising. A direct mail invite was sent to their key customers, requesting the pleasure of their company as a VIP guest on their trade show stand.

The messaging within this was delivered via a virtual reality application that once downloaded to a smartphone, could be used to view a 3D ‘teaser experience’ invite. The messaging was built around a virtual space containing a sneak preview of the wider virtual reality experience available on their stand. The invite took the physical form of a cardboard engineered virtual reality viewer that was posted out to a supplied list of client contacts.

Working with a production company based in Germany, the mail pieces were produced and delivered using a personalised fulfilment process.

The intriguing nature of the invites meant that the mailers were extremely well received. This was not a format many of the recipients would have received before. The mechanics of making up the viewers was simple to use. We were able to accurately track the number of App downloads against the numbers of mailers sent via download data from the App Store. Subsequently, 62% of the recipients downloaded and viewed the invite message via their smartphone.

Just goes to show how successful direct mail can be when placed in the right hands.
